Responsible for processing and paying supplier invoices and employee expense reimbursements. Ensure the invoices are posted timely to meet weekly deadlines with regards to issuing payments. Maintain the integrity of accounts payable sub-ledger, vendor files and paid files by scanning invoices in the electronic filing system for accurate archived record keeping.

Scope and Responsibilities:

The Automation Project Engineer performs tasks ranging from initial concept development/ proposal to design and execution of industrial robot automation solutions (including electrical / electronics, software, pneumatics & hydraulics) hardware for Mazak Corp supplied system solutions, components and automation.

Mazak is looking for a Distributor Sales Manager to join our Western region based out of Seattle, WA. Individuals will be responsible for managing and supporting all sales activities for distributor organizations. Responsible for maintaining quota and market share objectives set forth by the Regional General Manager.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Grinder Operator – Florence, KY

Grinder Operator – Florence, KY

Mazak is looking for a Grinder Operator to join the FMF department on second shift. Operate, Set-Up, Inspect various production parts on Manual & CNC grinding equipment. Both Internal & Outside diameter grinders are used to make production parts. Will run to print specifications and inspect all parts made to verify tolerancing. This position will record this information on provided check sheets utilizing calibrated gaging from our Quality Department. Second shift works 3:30pm to 2:00am Monday through Thursday.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
  • Set up of grinders to prepare for grinding operation. Includes loading parts by hand and or by overhead crane into machine.
  • Needs to be familiar with the metric system for setup and inspection.
  • Needs to be familiar with dial indicators, Mahre Indicators, Ring gages, Snap Gages, Micrometers (ID/OD) to perform the needed checks on the parts.
  • Needs to be familiar with the grinding process as it is not a mill or lathe function. Grinding is taking material off at a micron level with the highest precision possible.
  • Able to finesse the parts to make the most accurate parts, this includes operating the equipment, adjusting thru the entire process.
  • Past experience is required with grinding to understand this process. Lathe turning is very similar only the amount of stock is much, much smaller.
  • Needs to understand what a micron is and be ability to document results. The speed of material removal, depth of cut, all factor into a good part. Temperature can in most cases cause a part to deviate out of spec as the tolerancing is so tight. Grinder operators must know the process and how each of these affect part quality.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma
  • Vocational training is preferred
  • Associate degree in machining or manufacturing is preferred

Skills:

  • Mechanical aptitude is a must

Mazak Corporation is looking for a Tax Accountant to join the Accounting department located at our Florence, KY headquarters. The tax accountant is responsible for the full sales and use tax process including but not limited to preparation and filing sales, use, and B&O tax returns, reconciling general ledger tax accounts, advising on taxability of various goods and services provided to our customers and vendors. Other responsibilities may include preparing and filing business license applications and serving as backup to the fixed asset responsibilities.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Sales Tax month end close & tax return prep
    • Reconcile and review use tax schedules and associated invoices
    • Prepare month-end tax journal entries and post to general ledger
    • Run updates for sales tax software (Taxsolver) and import into system
    • Reconcile sales tax payable accounts
    • Import sales tax data into Tax solver, and review/correct any errors
    • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual state and local sales tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws
    • Coordinate sales and use tax payments to ensure accurate and timely payment
    • Review credits for machines and complete any required amended sales tax returns
  • Evaluate & respond to Mazak’s Tax Department emails and prioritize requests
    • Respond to various questions from customers and Mazak employees including questions on taxability, exemption certificates, and tax rates
    • Research and solve any sales tax issues from invoicing
  • Review machine install reports and shipment release emails weekly to ensure all appropriate sales tax certificates are in our system
  • Prepare and enter credit/debit requests
  • Review and enter tax exemption and resale certificates into Taxware
  • Work closely with AR for month-end Conout to verify all machines are taxed correctly
  • Respond to requests for resale certificates by reviewing and completing any resale certificates that need to be sent to Mazak vendors
  • Track and monitor the expiration of sales tax exemption certificates and send request letters/emails to customers for updated certificates
  • Assists with tax audits to provide auditors with appropriate information and to assist them in completion of their task
  • Review and resolve state and local tax notices, and bills sent in the mail

    • Assist with the review of Ringi-shos for fixed asset treatment
    • Assist with recording cost of newly acquired fixed assets
    • Help track existing fixed assets
    • Record and verify depreciation calculations as well as any trade ins or disposals
    • Prepare month-end fixed asset journal entries
  • Prepare year-end tax and fixed asset audit work papers for annual financial audit

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting

  • Select parts from laser cutting/press brake operation to weld and align parts according to specifications.

  • Design and build fixtures jigs to use in welding and assembly operations.
  • Must be able to set up and run MIG welding machines.

  • Visually inspect each part that is ready for paint.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
