Field Service Technician - Schaumburg, IL

Field Service Technician: Schaumburg, IL

We are currently searching for a candidate who will install equipment, train customers, execute warranty repairs and provide after warranty service on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. Electrical, Mechanical and Programming skills are preferred. A minimum of five (5) years experience in maintenance and repair of CNC equipment and a 2 year technical degree is preferred. Field Service Technicians are assigned Regional responsibilities and operate directly from their residences, reporting to the Midwest Technology Center in Schaumburg, IL. Duties involve overnight travel from home to various customer facilities, located primarily in the Schaumburg, IL area. Travel is required.

Field Service Technician - Chicago, IL

Field Service Technician-Chicago, IL

Mazak is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Midwest region, working in the Chicago, IL area. The Service Technician installs and repairs machines and accessories at Customer’s sites and provides technical information on operation or repair of machines and accessories.

Field Service Technician Essential Functions:

  • Install machines and accessories at Customer’s site. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at Customer’s site.
  • Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair. Train Customers on functions of the machines.
  • Learn new machine’s features and accessories as they become available.
  • Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed.

Field Service Technician Requirements:

  • Read/understand engineering drawings
  • Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks.
  • Ability to understand PLC
  • HYD/Pneumatic circuits
  • General Computer Skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive daily basis with heavier lifting on a periodic basis.
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Travel-both domestic and international
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly
  • 1-3 Years of experience in Field Service is preferred

Sales Project Engineer - Florence, KY

We are currently looking for a Sales Project Engineer to work in our Florence, Kentucky office.

Essental Job Functions:

  • Responsibility to investigate sales requests for machine specific modifications to meet a customer's requirements then respond or quote with price and delivery for these proposed modifications if applicable.
  • Perform on-line phone and computer support to Sales.
  • Help to directly negotiate at times with sales, customers, other Mazak departments or factories and 3rd party vendors.
  • Help to review and respond to large customer RFQ specifications.
  • Help to manage and maintain an on-line Request and Response database.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standardized, pre-engineered price list options.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement for a two (2) year Associates College Degree in Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and 2D AutoCAD are mandatory.
  • Work experience in a related field and 3D modeling experience is preferred.
  • Some travel may be required.

Service Team Leader - Schaumburg, IL

Service Team Leader - Schaumburg, IL

We are currently searching for a Team Leader/Supervisor to manage a portion of our Midwest Region. Duties will include scheduling and telephone support to our customers on their CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. The ability to maintain a high degree of customer service with our customers and adhere to our service management principles is key. This position will have the responsibility to support, schedule, and manage a group of field technicians along with support to our local sales staff. Some travel will be required. Electrical, Mechanical and Programming skills are preferred. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in maintenance and repair of CNC equipment, previous supervision of field service technicians, good communication skills, and a 2 year technical degree.
