Accounts Payable Lead - Florence, KY

Mazak is looking for an Accounts Payable Lead to join the Accounting Department at our headquarters in Florence, KY. The Account Payable lead will lead all activities in the accounts payable function.  Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expenses and maintains accurate records, control reports and the integrity of accounts payable sub-ledger, vendor files and paid files.  Makes process improvements within the system

Scope and Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Monitors and manages AP Team group email on a daily basis.
  • Coordinates the setup and/or change of employees/vendors to ACH payment method with Cash Administration.

  • Prepares the Monthly AP Accrual Journal and additional miscellaneous journals as needed.
  • Performs the Monthly AP Account reconciliations including:

CNC Set Up Operator – Florence, KY

Mazak is look for a CNC Set Up Operator to work in the Flexible Manufacturing Department at the Production facility in Florence, KY. The CNC Set Up Operator will maintain and monitor 4 large 5 face machining centers to meet the production demand. Ensuring the equipment is properly set up and running the most efficiently as possible. This is a second shift position working 10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday with voluntary overtime on Fridays and weekends.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Load and unload large cast iron work piece on machines to run production parts 
  • Use overhead crane to set up and load fixtures onto machine using general hand tools, scales, and tape measures
  • Program starts, re-starts and or rework using G&M code programming logic
  • Skim cut fixtures to machine for accurate work holding
  • Setup, change and maintain tooling as needed
  • Maintain equipment for good working operation
  • Maintain oil, lube and coolant on a daily/weekly basis
  • Perform accuracy checks where applicable and record for ISO documentation using metric gaging

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 2 yr. Manufacturing degree or Vocational School is preferred
  • Hands on training as a CNC Machine operator or Set up Operator in related field is required

The Distributor Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting all sales activities for distributor organizations. Scope and Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the sales process of machine tools to companies ranging from small job shops to large corporations in a distributor’s territory.
  • Communicate to the distributor their goals and performance for each sales period including but not limited to quotas, market share, sales incentives, deliveries, expectations, and overall performance. 
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on the technical features, CNC control and options pertaining to all Mazak machines.
  • Provide Mazak with monthly forecasts, large project report, sales reports, lost order reports and market share analysis for your territory.
  • Assist the distributor in the negotiation of the sale of machines related to price, delivery, terms and conditions, and payment terms.
  • Coordinate all pre-sale activities and information with engineering, applications, product group, and sales administration through the selling process.
  • Review and approve all incoming orders from the distributor to ensure accuracy and profitability.
  • Provide necessary post sale technical support as required.
  • Travel to and from customers as needed to conduct business.
  • Attend local, regional, and national shows as required to assist in the promotion and sale of machines
  • Host customer visits at National or Regional Technology Centers, Mazak Factories, or Vendors.   This may include international travel; valid passport is required.
  • Participate in local association (SME, TMA, PMPA) networking events when applicable.

Required education and experience:

  • Associates degree is required or 4 years of machine tool sales experience.

Skills:

  • Must have experience with high precision machine tools and knowledge of the respective territory.
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations and use other Microsoft office products, such as, Excel, Word, Exchange, etc.

Mazak is searching for an Export Compliance Coordinator to join our Export department in Florence, Ky. The Export Compliance Coordinator will process and approve all the Mazak used machines movements as well coordinating the export, delivery, and compliance screening of shipments of new machine orders. Identifies processes and implements procedures for full compliance by the company under US Customs regulatory requirements. Properly communicates to all internal resources any laws or requirements.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Process / approve used Mazak machines movements to allow parts and service to new end users.
  • Process Self Check Sheets for Japan new machines sale.
  • Prepare and coordinate export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, EEI filings in Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) AES Direct, bill of ladings, certificate of origins & U.S. Manufacture’s Affidavits).
  • Send pre-alert emails with shipment notifications and export documentation to customers.
  • Ensure a 100% level of compliance with government agencies including U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Customs and Border Protection or any other agency including Denied parties listings.
  • Serve as liaison with U.S. Customs, U.S. Freight Forwarders, U.S. Customs Brokers and Carriers on the export/import and logistics processes.
  • Verifies HTS classification and provide supporting documentation
  • Work with sales and accounting department directly on letter of credits, payment invoices & collection of payments based on payment terms.

Mazak is looking for a Tool Room Operator to join the Flexible Manufacturing Department on first shift at our Florence, KY Headquarters. The Tool Room Operator is responsible for the changing and rotation of the tooling for the FMF Production Operation. This is a second shift position working Monday through Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am.

Scope and Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
  • Work with both manual and automatic presetting devices to accurately measure tooling for production needs

Required education and experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • Associate’s degree is preferred
  • Trade School certificate is preferred

Skills:

  • Experience as CNC Machinist/Lathe background working directly with tooling and setup
  • Experience as a hands-on tooling operator in the tool and die industry
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

Welder - Florence, KY

We are looking for a Welder to work in our Fabrication department at our Florence, KY headquarters. Welders weld and sand sheet metal parts to engineering specifications on the blueprints. This is a second shift position working Monday through Thursday 3:30pm to 2:00am.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding prints and other drawings.
  • Select parts from laser cutting/press brake operation to weld and align parts according to specifications.
  • Weld parts to specific tolerances.
  • Modify or redesign existing parts if necessary.
  • Sand, grind, buff, taper and or tap fabricated parts to drawing specifications.
  • Design and build fixtures jigs to use in welding and assembly operations.
  • Must be able to set up and run MIG welding machines.
  • Operate overhead crane and use various hand tools including saws, shears, drills and grinders.
  • Prepare fabricated parts for painting
  • Visually inspect each part that is ready for paint.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Skills:

  • Mig welding experience
  • Familiar with metric system
  • Blueprint reading experience
  • Autobody sanding experience is a plus
  • Must be knowledgeable of weld shrinkage factors and various welding techniques.
  • Must successfully pass entry-level test administered by Mazak.

Required education and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Vocational school is preferred
