WHAT TO EXPECT

Join Mazak at booth 1225 for The Smart Manufacturing Experience 2018 for a demonstration of our latest state-of-the-art machines and the powerful technological solutions that power them. Mazak is proud to serve as a founding partner for The Smart Manufacturing Experience, a show dedicated to the Industry 4.0 technologies that are reshaping our world. Smart Manufacturing Experience is an ideal stage for Mazak to introduce attendees to its efforts to set the pace of innovation as we enter the next Industrial Revolution.

During the event, we’ll be demonstrating two machines. The first, the VC-500 AM HYBRID Multi-Tasking machine, offers full 5-axis capability in addition to additive technology in a space-saving design that makes it ideal for educational institutions and R&D facilities in addition to manufacturers across numerous industries. For The Smart Manufacturing Experience, the VC-500 AM will be demonstrating its performance on aerospace components.

The second is the INTEGREX i-100 BARTAC-S Multi-Tasking machine, which features two turning spindles and a milling spindle for full 5-axis machining and DONE IN ONE® operations. The machine’s Intelligent Bar Loader System automatically feeds out material the required distance from the chuck and minimizes the bar remnant. The INTEGREX i-100 BARTAC-S at the event will demonstrate its efficiency in the production of medical parts.

Mazak will also present three 30-minute Learning Labs. Dan DaSilva, Mazak’s Northeast assistant applications manager, will share how SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY brings unmatched speed, accuracy, functionality and ergonomics to virtually every type of metalworking application. Mazak product manager Joe Wilker will discuss advanced techniques made possible by machines in the HYBRID family, like direct metal deposition and friction stir welding (FSW). Neil Desrosiers, application engineer, developer and MTConnect specialist at Mazak, will present the Learning Lab on digital connectivity, the IIoT and the Mazak iSMART Factory™.
