Yamazaki Mazak Corporation entered the U.S. market in 1968, opening its first subsidiary outside of Japan in Long Island, New York. In 1974, the company moved its U.S. operations to Florence, Kentucky to establish a forward-thinking manufacturing venture with the capacity to modify its Japanese imports to meet the unique requirements of the North American market.
