FLORENCE, Ky., March 7, 2024 – Mazak is pleased to announce the addition of The Shelton Machinery (TSM) Group to its robust network of certified distributors. Long-time Mazak distributor Shelton Machinery launched TSM Group through the acquisition of Concept Technical Sales, Inc., now Concept Machinery, and most recently, Municipal Tool & Machinery, now Municipal Machinery. Together the three companies form a new parent organization under which they will all now operate as one of the industry’s largest manufacturing solutions providers and supplier of Mazak manufacturing equipment.
TSM Group will serve metalworking shops and manufacturers in Indiana, Kentucky, southern Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. All TSM Group companies, Shelton Machinery, Concept Machinery and Municipal Machinery, are long-time certified distributors of Mazak machine tools and provide comprehensive advanced manufacturing sales, technology demonstrations, service and support.
With the launch of TSM Group, Shelton Machinery contributes directly to Mazak’s commitment to maintaining a balanced model of direct sales and distribution in North America. That commitment entails partnering with only the best distributors, reflecting the company’s stead-fast dedication to continuous improvement, ongoing excellence and the utmost in customer service.

In 2015, Shelton expanded its North American footprint through the acquisition of Concept Technical Sales, Inc, which has served customers in Kansas and western Missouri for over 34 years. With the acquisition of Municipal Tool & Machinery, Shelton Machinery added 55,000 sq. miles to its service territory and further strengthened its leadership position among North American technology distributors. Municipal Tool & Machinery is located in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
