WHAT TO EXPECT:

Join Mazak in Cleveland this April at the Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) to see how our machine tool solutions can transform your medium to high-volume small-parts applications. Hosted by the Precision Machined Products Association since 2001, this biennial event will feature a wide range of programming for an audience that has ballooned to over 6,500 participants and more than 300 exhibitors. At booth #3077, Mazak will give visitors the opportunity to experience the DONE IN ONE® capabilities of the HQR-150MSY Multi-Tasking Turning Center and the versatility of the QTG-50 Gang-Tooling CNC Turning Center, as well as the chance to discuss production challenges with our applications experts.

TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION:

The HQR-150MSY features a highly productive twin-spindle, twin-turret configuration for unequaled part-processing opportunities and high-volume throughput. In addition to its main turning spindle, the machine also features a second spindle (S), bolt-on tooling turret with rotary milling spindle (M) and Y-axis off-centerline capabilities (Y) for DONE IN ONE production.

For the utmost in speed, precision and ease of use, the HQR-150MSY utilizes Mazak’s MAZATROL SmoothG control, which offers EIA/ISO programming as well as conversational programming that makes it easy to generate programs for angled drilling, milling or tapping operations. The control also features advanced hardware and software functions that help ensure ease of use, high productivity and performance accuracy in complex part production.

The QTG-50 features a compact design for small workpieces. The machine's versatile chucker configuration accepts either three-jaw or collet chucks for high-efficiency turning capability, while the gang tool plate eliminates turret indexing to keep machining cycles to a minimum. Optional bar feeder systems enable unattended operation to maximize spindle utilization and reduce cost-per-piece ratios.
