WHAT TO EXPECT

The Automotive Manufacturing Lunch and Learn offers you the opportunity to watch some of Mazak's most important space-saving technologies in action. Here's a taste of what you'll see at this event.

  • An automotive gear demonstration featuring Mazak’s HYBRID Multi-Tasking AUTO GEAR (AG) capabilities, which enable single-setup production of complex workpieces
  • An oil cap demonstration featuring the Mazak INTEGREX i-100S advanced Multi-Tasking machine with DONE IN ONE® capability
  • Pulley and lever demonstrations that showcase Mazak technology and its ability to add efficiency to part production

TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION

The INTEGREX i-200ST AG HYBRID Multi-Tasking Machining Center processes mid-sized complex components efficiently using versatile dual spindles, a milling spindle (S), a lower turret (T), the AUTO GEAR (AG) package and the full range of SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY solutions for DONE IN ONE gear production. The AG package performs complete processing of a wide variety of gear types, and can produce datum chamfers, edges and other part features in a single set up, reducing the need for redundant workholding and work-in-progress (WIP) inventory.

The INTEGREX i-100S 5-axis Multi-Tasking Machining Center delivers maximum versatility, precision and throughput for smaller complex parts, minimizing fixtures, tools, handling and non-cut time. This advanced machine produces complex parts in single setups, combining the capabilities of a high-powered turning center and full-function machining center with a second turning spindle (S) for DONE IN ONE machining. With full 5-axis capability, the INTEGREX i-100S easily processes fully prismatic parts from solid blocks or castings (chucked or bar-fed work), round parts or highly contoured sculptured parts.

The QT-PRIMOS 100 Turning Center offers exceptional speed, accuracy and torque to provide unsurpassed production value to parts manufacturers in varied industry segments. This 2-axis machine yields big productivity advantages in only 55" x 49" of floor space. An integral spindle/motor design eliminates belt-driven machining vibrations while high-speed spindle acceleration/deceleration rates boost efficiency, with high spindle torque at low speeds to accommodate hard materials.

The VCPrimos 400 Vertical Machining Center fits a large work envelope into a compact amount of floor space, with no side-accessible maintenance items. Suitable for efficient processing of small components in various industries, this high-performance machine provides an exceptional return on investment, along with operational ease and convenient maintenance. For automated load/unload operations, the VCPrimos 400 accommodates articulated robots. To help prevent downtime, the machine offers excellent chip management.
