As concerns and restrictions centering around the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak intensify, Mazak’s first priority continues to be the health and safety of our associates and their families. Yet, we remain committed to providing the highest level of customer service and support to you, our valued customer, during this challenging time and will do everything we can to prevent interruptions to the normal course of business.
At this time, I want to share how we’re approaching this rapidly changing situation at Mazak.
All of our associates worldwide have been strongly encouraged to work with customers through digital channels as much as possible. Here in Kentucky, manufacturing operations continue at 100%, as do machine order shipments. All CDC recommendations, protocols and Government regulations are being strictly adhered to. We have contingency plans in place should further Government restrictions be required. To ensure the health and safety of both our associates and customers, Kentucky plant visits and tours will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
We have increased daily cleaning, sanitizing and janitorial procedures for all facilities and continue to provide our production floor team with all the preventive measures recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are also offering flexibility in terms of work schedules for those with young children at home.
We are asking our regional service and support personnel to minimize air travel and instead drive to customer sites. Our part inventory remains well stocked, and we continue to maintain our same day customer parts delivery operations.
Going forward, Mazak will continue to share business-related updates with our associates and customers as quickly as possible through our website and social media channels. As always, our team is available to answer any questions you may have. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to carefully follow the recommendations and guidelines of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
In closing, I’d like to leave you with this. As we all mitigate the complications created by this pandemic, Mazak remains Rock Solid and focused on your success. Together, we and the manufacturing industry as whole will navigate these trying times safely with eyes on the future. We look forward to seeing all of you in Chicago this September at IMTS 2020 where we will showcase affordable solutions for job shops and the latest in digital manufacturing solutions, HYBRID technology, automation and Multi-Tasking machines.Dan Janka, President
