At the 2013 Performance Racing Industry show in December, we wrapped up an extremely busy and highly successful year of attending trade shows and hosting technology-driven education events at our various Technology Centers, including our groundbreaking DISCOVER 2013 event that took place at our Kentucky headquarters. And 2014 promises to be just as exciting as we continue to participate in major industry shows and host regional DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK events across the nation.
We will kick-off our regional event series on January 15 and 16 at our Southwest Regional Technology Center in Houston, Texas. Here manufacturers, especially those within the energy industry, will have the opportunity to experience the latest and most innovative metalworking solutions for large part production as well as learn new machining trends and techniques for boosting productivity and profitability.
You’ll find that in Houston as well as all of our regional DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK events, we will host highly insightful technology seminars and our Value Inspired Partners will be on hand to share valuable information on complementary technologies for our machines. So, if you missed DISCOVER 2013 or would like a second look at our total manufacturing solutions, you can’t afford to miss the regional event that’s taking place nearest you.

- May 6 - 8 | Northeast Technology Center | Windsor Locks, CT
In terms of trade shows, the first event on our 2014 list is SME’s AeroDef Manufacturing Summit and Exposition, which takes place from February 25 through 27 in Long Beach, California. Customers can visit us in Booth #639 as we showcase the latest in multi-tasking gear cutting technology on some of our most advanced machine solutions for the aerospace and defense industries. Finally, what even numbered year would be complete without a trip to IMTS at the famed McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois? The answer is none. Customers and visitors will continue to find Mazak in Booth #S-8300 just off the Grand Concourse in the South Building. We will spend the time leading up to the September 8 -13 event working with our Value Inspired Partners and preparing to demonstrate our latest, most advanced technology solutions to date.

Aimee Shandy is a Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer (CMTSE) with a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and an M.A. in Communication. She has a well rounded background in her 13 years as a Mazak associate with her current position being a Project Manager for Trade Shows and Special Events. The variety of Departments that allowed her to hone her skills include Product Specialist, Production Engineering as a Mechanical Engineer and an Applications Engineer at Mazak's Kentucky Headquarters.
