After IMTS, The Discovery Continues
Across two booths, including a new booth dedicated to our expanded line of revolutionary HYBRID Multi-Tasking machines, our visitors had the chance to experience the future of manufacturing and the tools that will make it possible.
At one of the biggest IMTS events yet, tens of thousands of visitors had the opportunity to see our newest machines in action. We presented new models from popular machine series, including the new high-performance (HP) configuration of the QTU-350 MY HP, the expanded workspace of the INTEGREX i-500ST and the automation-equipped VARIAXIS i-700 with MPP and VARIAXIS i-300 AWC.
But beyond new machines, we introduced our customers to the advanced technologies that will change entire industries forever: HYBRID Multi-Tasking. With techniques like FRICTION STIR WELDING (FSW), HOT WIRE AM (HWD) and multi-laser metal deposition, additive and joining applications can take place inside the same powerful subtractive machining platforms Mazak spent the last century partnering with you to perfect. HYBRID even extends to gear machining with the AUTO GEAR (AG) system, representing a company-wide commitment to keeping our DONE IN ONE® promise.
We couldn’t bring everyone at IMTS to our Mazak iSMART Factory™ in Florence, Kentucky, so we brought the factory floor to them, showing off the power of machine connectivity and MTConnect® in our new Digital Technology Plaza. Visitors had the opportunity to see how our SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY solutions enable comprehensive process optimization for the highest level of machine utilization, along with a look at how our factory performs in real time with Mazak SmartBox technology.
Visitors also saw how much technology we pack into a single machine with MAZATROL Smooth CNCs. The Digital Technology Plaza had the full range on display, from the simple, effective connectivity made possible by SMOOTH Link to the SMOOTH Gear Cutting package at the heart of machines like the new INTEGREX e-1250V/8 AG.
We also had the opportunity to meet with many of you personally in our quest to continue providing Rock Solid customer service through our Optimum Plus total support program. Our applications experts helped you work through manufacturing challenges, our digital solution specialists steered you to SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY software for greater efficiency and our customer service team kept customers in the loop about utilizing our industry-best spindle rebuild and repair services as well as our ability to achieve same-day shipping for 97 percent of spare parts.
