Mazak Congratulates Power On Win In Baltimore
Team Penske driver Will Power wins street circuit race and gains on IZOD IndyCar
Series points leader
Florence, Kentucky, September 8, 2011 – Mazak Corporation, a Penske Racing technical
sponsor, congratulates Penske Racing Team driver Will Power on his firstplace win
at the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix on Sunday, September 4, in Baltimore, Maryland.
During the entire race, Power dominated for Verizon Team Penske in the No. 12 Verizon
Team Penske Dallara/Honda and gained significant ground in his quest for the IZOD
IndyCar Series championship.
Baltimore is the sixth win of the season for Power, and with the victory, he is
now only five points away from series leader Dario Franchitti. There are three races
remaining in the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series.
Penske Racing uses Mazak machines to manufacture various critical car components
and maintains that “the team couldnʼt do what it does on the racetrack without Mazak
machine tool technology.”
