Mazak powers to EMO
with 24 new machines (Stand: B44 in Hall 27)
Yamazaki Mazak will be promoting the "Power of Mazak" at its 2,500 sq m stand at
this year’s EMO in Hannover.
Mazak’s ability to power new levels of productivity and more efficient manufacturing,
whilst offering outstanding ergonomic and environmental capabilities, will be showcased
with 24 new Mazak machines on display.
Centre stage will be Mazak’s multi-tasking capabilities including the new INTEGREX
i-series which demonstrates Mazak’s Done-in-One philosophy of machining raw material
to finished component in one hit, one set-up and on one machine. The i-series will
be complimented by the INTEGREX j-series along with new INTEGREX eH and eV multi-tasking
machines and new VARIAXIS models offering greater capacity, functionality and productivity.
Crucially, EMO will be the debut for a new configuration of machine offering both
5-axis machining and turning capabilities on a highly versatile platform. Another
innovative development is the ORBITEC 20 that is particularly suitable for valve
processing and completes more than 75% of valve applications in one setup while
maintaining high tolerances.
The Mazak EMO stand will also host the latest in CNC turning centre technology,
including the QUICK TURN SMART series, which features simplified 2-and 3-axis turning
and a host of high performance features not normally associated with machines in
this price range, including direct drive spindles, linear guides, a fast-indexing
tool turret and an NC tailstock.
In addition, the Mazak stand will include the QUICK TURN NEXUS series, the SLANT
TURN NEXUS, which is designed to efficiently machine long shaft workpieces and the
HYPER QUADREX series, which is designed for a wide variety of applications from
chuck workpieces to large diameter bar work.
Vertical machining centres will be represented by the VC SMART series and the VTC
series of travelling column machines, which are suitable for machining large, long
work pieces. The VTC series has X- , Y- and Z- axes located outside the machining
envelope and is now available with a larger capacity tooling option. The FJV vertical
machining centre, a high-accuracy, high-rigidity machine featuring a double column
construction and high performance spindles will also be available to view on the
stand.
Horizontal machining centres will be represented by the HCN 6800-II, a high speed,
high accuracy machine suitable for a wide variety of production requirements, including
small to large work pieces and batch sizes. Mazak’s 3-level PALLETECH will also
be hosted on the stand.
Mazak Laser will be represented by the Super Turbo X laser processing machines which
are capable of the highest sheet metal cutting speeds ensuring maximum productivity.
During the course of EMO Mazak will also be announcing further details of its four
new Technology Centres in Europe, in Leipzig which will open later in 2011 and in
Düsseldorf, Katowice and Prague all opening in 2012.
Marcus Burton, Yamazaki Mazak Group Managing Director Europe, commented: “EMO offers
us an excellent opportunity to demonstrate to a European audience the power of Mazak’s
machines in helping our customers to reach new levels of productivity and efficiency.
The new machines on the stand highlight the breadth of our range which offers a
machining solution for every conceivable application.”
