Perfect for the aerospace, energy and construction machinery industries, the VORTEX 1060V/8 vertical machining center efficiently and accurately processes large, complex workpieces. It performs simultaneous 5-axis machining, as well as multiple-surface machining in single setups. Furthermore, the machine can be configured with a versatile 10,000-rpm or powerful high-torque 5,000-rpm milling spindle, as well as a single table or two-pallet design to reduce setup times.

  • Available in 31.5" x 31.5" or 39.4" x 39.4" worktable sizes
  • Twin-pallet version handles a maximum workpiece size of 49.21" (dia.) x 49.21" (high), while the single table design accommodates parts up to 59.1" (dia.) x 57.1" (high)
  • Double column construction and large Y-axis stroke makes it possible to machine the top surface of a workpiece without rotating the machine table
  • Available with either a high-speed 50 taper, 10,000-rpm or 15,000-rpm spindle, or high-torque 50 taper, 5,000-rpm spindle for heavy-duty cutting
  • Brings high accuracy and superior surface finishes to 5-axis and complicated parts machining
  • B-axis indexes in 0.0001° increments, resulting in high-precision machining
  • C-axis indexes in 0.0001° increments to accurately position workpieces
  • Comes standard with a tool magazine storage capacity of 40 tools, while 80-, 120- and 160-tool magazine options are also available for increased machining versatility
