Mazak Adds Fourth Building to North American Campus

Mazak Corporation’s North American Headquarters continues to grow with the recent purchase of a real estate property from the industrial development and construction firm of Paul Hemmers Companies. The 2.8-acre site includes a 33,000-square-foot building that will be the fourth facility on Mazak’s North American Headquarters campus in Florence, Kentucky, which currently includes a manufacturing facility, the National Technology Center, and Customer Service and Support Center.
The newly acquired building will increase manufacturing floor space for production operations. The acquisition is a part of Mazak’s continuous commitment to ongoing improvements in the efficiency and flexibility of its manufacturing operations and the company’s dedication to meeting customer needs.
In 2011, Mazak will make further investments in new production equipment for its Kentucky manufacturing plant. The company will install a new Mazak V-140N 5-Axis Double-Column, Bridge-type machining center with a 10-meter Table Changer System, along with a new Mazak Laser FMS that incorporates a 3-unit Laser Processing Machine. These investments will give Mazak greater flexibility to produce larger machine models as well as increase production at the North American Headquarters campus.
