Mazak Congratulates Team Penske Racing On A Winning Weekend
Penske Racing drivers Power, Castroneves and Briscoe sweep Sonoma, Keselowski wins Bristol
Florence, Kentucky, August 31, 2011 –Mazak Corporation, a Penske Racing technical sponsor,
congratulates Penske Racing on its winning performance this weekend during the Indy Grand
Prix of Sonoma at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California, and the Irwin Tools Night
Race at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.
On Sunday, August 28 in Sonoma, Team Penske drivers Power, Castroneves and Briscoe
swept the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma race. Will Power took the checkered flag in the
No. 12 Verizon car for his IZOD IndyCar Series-leading fifth win of the season. And
rounding out the Penske 1-2-3 win, teammates Helio Castroneves in the No. 3 Guidepoint
Systems Team Penske Dallara/Honda, took second place and Ryan Briscoe in the No. 6 Penske
Truck Rental Dallara/Honda finished in the third place position.
Not to be outdone by his IndyCar teammates, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Penske Racing Team
driver Brad Keselowski, in the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger, secured his third win of
2011 in the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night, August 27.
The finish solidifies the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge team’s hold on the No. 1 wild card
position for the “Chase for the Championship.”
Penske Racing uses Mazak machines to manufacture various critical car components and maintains
